Pustular Psoriasis

 

Pustular psoriasis is commonly found in adults and can be triggered by stress, smoking, infections, and certain medications. Pustular psoriasis looks like:

• Small, raised pustules
• Filled with non-infectious fluid
• Surrounded by red skin

There are two kinds of pustular psoriasis: localized and generalized.
Localized is the most common and affects the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.
Sometimes other areas of the skin are affected. Due to its effect on the hands and feet it
can make performing daily activities more difficult.
Generalized pustular psoriasis is a more severe flare that covers large areas of the body. It
may require hospitalization until it is under control.
