Plaque Psoriasis

Plaque psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris) is the most common form of the disease. Patients with psoriasis vulgaris will notice:

  • Raised inflamed lesions covered by silvery white scale
  • Range from slightly pink colour to an intense red colour
  • Flush with the skin or have an appearance like clam or oyster shells

Plaque psoriasis tends to be a lifelong disease that can affect many areas of the body, including elbows, knees, genitals, scalp, skinfolds, nails and lower back.
